Give this Christmas a breath of fresh air and a touch of rustic Scandinavian style with this set of 5 ceramic star decorations to hang on your tree or maybe even use as unique gift tags. The blue and white decorations are made in my garden studio in the coastal town of Ramsgate, U.K. They are formed from terracotta clay which, once cut and modelled into shape, are carefully smoothed to soften and round the edges as if, perhaps, it had been worn down by the action of the sea. After being left to dry thoroughly, they are bisque fired and glazed with a traditional majolica-style Tin white glaze and hand painted with of blue Cobalt Oxide.
