Meatball Potato Soup
32 oz beef broth
8 Cups Water
1 onion, halved and sliced
2 lbs ground beef
6-8 potatoes, peeled and diced
garlic powder, salt and pepper to taste
Combine broth water onion and seasonings in a soup pot. Bring to a boil over medium high heat, boil until onion is transparent Form groundbeef into small meatballs and drop into soup. Boil until meatballs are cooked through, about 35 to 40 minutes. Add potatoes for the last 20 minutes of cooking serves 8 to 10.

Am I the only person who hasn't heard of "cooler corn"? As an obsessive food nerd, you'd expect that I would have at least heard of it, but over the weekend I was blind-sided by the simple genius of this method for cooking loads of corn on the cob perfectly.
