291K views · 2.2K reactions | How to make a homemade portable air conditioner! #lifehack #homehacks #lifehacks #tips | By Juliana Costa | That's it. It's going to freeze the house. Put ice on your fan and you'll never use the air conditioning again. That's right. And the tip is very simple. To do this, we're going to need two plastic bottles. First, with the help of an object, you're going to cut off the top part. Because we're only going to need this top part. And now we're going to need a styrofoam box. Right? You're also going to need two pieces of pipe just like these. It's very to find in hardware stores. You're going to take the Styrofoam box and we're going to make two markings. You can take the pipe itself and make a marking on this side and also on the other. And then with the help of scissors or a box cutter, you're going to cut it the way I'm doing. We're going to do this so that we can later pass the pipe through so you're going to do it on both sides. Next, take the pieces cut again. And now you're going to join them to the pipe. Do the same thing with the other piece. It will look like this, one part with the bottle and the other without the bottle. Once you've done that, grab your fan and we'll take one of the pieces and position it on the front part to help it stay firm. Just use this plastic clamp. Make two holes in the bottle and you can attach them to your fan. As for the other part we'll place it behind the fan but this time on the top part okay it will look like this one attached to the front part the other attached to the back part now grab the Styrofoam box again with the two holes you'll simply pass the plastic tube through pass it through this side first and then pass the other piece through this side to finish just get some ice that's right Some ice cubes will be placed inside the styrofoam box. The more ice, the longer the room's cooling will last. You can put a good amount. Then just cover the styrofoam box and our homemade air conditioner is ready. Here I'll explain how it works. When you turn on your fan, it will blow hot air that will pass through the ice. It will come back as cold air. It will come out a a top and it's really cool. It's been helping me a lot here at home in this hot weather. Because the fan alone wasn't working. So, I decided to find out how we can actually make a homemade air conditioner that works. This one really works guys. As soon as you turn it on, cold air starts coming out. As time goes by, it gets colder but it's still really cool. So, try it at home and I'm sure you'll really like the result.

20K views · 96 reactions | This is one way to tackle a partial corner post replacement. I had to replace all the siding on the one side of this wall due to staining, but wanted the corner post to match perfectly with the new siding even though it’s the same brand and colour; the old post is quite faded. Corners can be replaced without removing all the siding as well with the same method, but on both sides of the corner. I hope this video was informative. Thanks for watching and have a great evening. . . . . #vinylcorner #build #sidingrepair #toolbelt #tipsandtricks #howto #sidingrepairs #filmedbydes #hammer #diy #remodel #sidinghacks #vinylcornerpost #remodeling #building #titaniumhammer #sidingtips #skilledtrades #sidingnailer | Jace Axton | Facebook

23K views · 89 reactions | Last week I showed one way to get the gable angle without knowing the pitch of the roof. This video shows another way. Though those ways aren’t my preferred methods, its an easy way for any homeowner or DIYer to find the angle. I prefer just to use ratios and draw a line and done. This way shown in the video takes time and requires scrap pieces (if it’s regular siding) and often my material waste management is very tight that I don’t have scraps 2 storeys up and it’s difficult to do this with a 12’ piece. For the piece in the video, I had to cut the piece back again anyway to stagger the seams on the shakes….another downfall to this method shown. Anyway, I hope this video helps. 180K views · 991 reactions | There are always many ways to get the same end result. I’ve shown finding a similar angle with a gauge, using a scrap piece, using a tape measure, using a template and using the slope of the roof. This is another simple method. I pick and choose what method I use based on the length of the piece and what I have readily available. If you haven’t seen this method before, I hope that it helps you out and adds value to you.I know I used a level 😂, it was the closest straight edge around - you can use any straight edge, even another scrap piece of siding...............#findinganangle #roofpitch #roofslope #rakeangle #tipsandtricks #protips #diy #protip | thesidingguy | Facebook
