i recently used a free trial for a month of manga up by squeenix and man it’s really bad. it’s so bad that i didn’t even consider the free trial to be good value. they split every chapter up into multiple 10-page parts, to the point that i think i’ve seen some manga go to chapter X.7, which they do because you only get 4 free chapters a day. the translation quality is often quite bad, with some manga having multiple basic spelling errors, including an especially awful “pleas. se.” (or something along thise lines i forgot the exact bubble but it was consistently that bad across the whole manga). it only has 4 main genres on the home page: isekai, fantasy, romance, and other. worst of all was one finished manga that was split into so many sub-chapters and doled out so slowly that the release date for the finale is in 2026. obviously you can just read all of it if you pay such an obscene amount of money that it would probably be cheaper to buy every single volume at the store. what a terrible app. i’d be willing to pay to never need to use it ever again.

Eye for an Eye
(This card is interactive! Click or tap on it!)
Event: Run
Play only if you are not tagged.
Run HQ. If successful, take 1 tag and access 1 additional card when you breach HQ.
Access → Trash 1 card from your grip: Trash the card you are accessing.
5 stars
Eye for an Eye
Run HQ. If successful, install a connection for free, access an additional card, trash any cards you see for free and draw 2 cards each time.
Anarch remains the good cards faction, and this is certainly a good card. Accessing more cards is fun and being able to bundle an imp with that is disgusting. It’s also got synergies with cards like The Twinning (accessing more cards trashes more cards) and Steelskin Scarring (draw more cards). Also also you can play a second one the same turn you play the first one if you want. Just completely shred your opponent’s hand. I’m praying the reason this card got through QA is that I’m missing something and it’s secretly trash.
By the way, did you see in the flavor text they gave Seb a gun? Can’t believe they let him merc a guy.

Sebastião Souza Pessoa: Activist Organizer
(This card is interactive! Click or tap on it!)
Identity: G-mod
Deck size: 45 • Influence: 15 • Link: 0
Pronouns: he/himWhenever you take 1 or more tags, if you had no tags, you may install 1 connection resource from your grip, paying 2[credit] less.
As an additional cost to trash a connection resource with the basic action, the Corp must trash 1 card from HQ.4 stars
Did you know that NetrunnerDB has a pronouns section for cards? I just found that out today. Anyways, Seb! What a guy! I love him, honestly. Both as a guy and as a card. He’s so cool. So, let’s get down to the specifics. Seb’s card text effectively makes removing tags free, with the restriction of needing to get rid of the tags before getting more. It’s also a buy now pay later ability, since you have to pay the click and 2 credits eventually, but you get the cool stuff now. I bring this up because, generally speaking, being able to put off paying for things is good. This is limited to connections, but connections are pretty good actually! You can get your Nuka for free (additional fees may apply)! It’s a tempo ability and tempo is good. I think Seb is good. The only reason why I’m not giving Seb 5 stars is because Loup and Hoshiko exist. Sorry.

Thunderbolt Armaments: Peace Through Power
(This card is interactive! Click or tap on it!)
Identity: Division. Deck size: 45 • Influence: 15
Whenever you rez a piece of AP or destroyer ice during a run, that ice gets +1 strength and gains “[subroutine] End the run unless the Runner trashes 1 of their installed cards.” after its other subroutines for the remainder of that run.
3 stars
I really want to like this identity. I think the effect is interesting, and making ice stronger is always good, but I feel like Thunderbolt is not proactive enough to beat out the more value-based HB identities. Even in a derez deck, I don’t see why you’d run Thunderbolt over something like Precision Design. Still, I’ll be waiting with bated breath to see the first tournament winning Thunderbolt deck. I want it to succeed.

Brasília Government Grid
(This card is interactive! Click or tap on it!)
Upgrade: Region. Trash: 3
Whenever you rez a piece of ice during a run against this server, you may derez another installed piece of ice. If you do, the rezzed ice gets +3 strength for the remainder of that run. Use this ability only once per turn.
Limit 1 region per server.4 stars
HB has a decent number of ice you’d want to rez multiple times that currently see play, like the harmonic ice and Magnet and probably some other cards I’m forgetting. Brasília makes them better. Given that I’ve seen some decks that are already willing to try to fish them out of the trash to play them again, I feel fine saying that any deck that’d run those cards will also want to run this card. Also, note that you’re able to derez ice at any (relevant) point in the run, meaning that you can derez ice that’s already been passed so you can put off paying for it later, or derez your big scary on rez card that the runner will deal with next. That’ll make the think twice before continuing the run. The trash cost is also nice since it’ll make Brasília stick around. That's always good.

Lightning Laboratory
click on the card btw
★★★★★My main opinion on agendas are that how good an agenda is is dictated more by how much it costs, not its card text. Since agendas are your main win condition, every extra bit of cost also increases the odds that all your work will be in vain and the card will get stolen. This leads me to Lightning Laboratory, which is a 4 for 2 with a pretty decent bit of card text on it, although it’s a bit slower and more reactive, which I don’t like out of a card. Do I think it’ll see play? In the right deck, sure. But I don’t see people clamoring to cram it into their decks right now.

It's Netrunner scoops season!
Hey y'all, I'm a bit late, but we're in preview season for the latest expansion of Netrunner! The new set is Liberation Part 2: Rebellion Without Rehearsal, and I thought it'd be fun to do a whole series reviewing every card revealed throughout the whole season until the cards all launch! I even will be giving them star rankings and all that jazz! So make sure to bookmark the #evie reviews liberation tag and mock all my reviews in 3 months when we all find out every card I rated poorly ended up being busted.
The whole list of card reviews are below the fold.
