Dans les grandes lignes, l'immanence se rapporte, selon la terminologie kantienne, à ce qui est délimité par le champ de l'expérience : avec The Immanent Grove, Fogweaver et Erreth-Akbe renient les bienfaits de la nature qui nous renvoie à notre mortalité — le format du split est aussi un aveu à demi-mot d'une forme de faiblesse. Le dungeon synth des deux artistes, par leurs litanies lancinantes, remue le couteau dans la plaie ; Erreth-Akbe offre une perspective de joie, cependant. Magnifique.
