Visions:

"Getragene und schwere Riffs, aber auch zahlreiche und abwechslungsreiche Percussion-Elemente zeichnen den Sound von Ex Orbit aus. Die Band spielt seit gut sechs Jahren als Trio zusammen und veröffentlicht nun mit “Im Fluss” ihre erste EP. Auf den vier Songs wechseln sich nach vorne gelehnter Doom und Sludge mit facettenreichem Postrock ab. Keiner der Songs ist unter sieben Minuten lang, sodass Ex Orbit eine sphärische Grundlage schaffen, um darin mit gezielt eingesetzten Riffs einzutauchen. Das Trio bezeichnet sich selbst als “Zusammenschluss frustrierte Musiker” – ihre teils dunklen und instrumentalen Songs lassen zumindest die Vermutung zu. Das kann man vom Sound nicht behaupten, der vor Wucht und Energie strotzt und dabei an gezielten Stellen eine gewisse Melancholie einfließen lässt."
