say what you’d like in crowded mumbles that echo till they bloom another life you’d have to think of the way i fell apart you wish me well then float away i don’t believe it’s what you think my will is off, you pull the knife a subtle shift aside under my eyes find me in every fault that youve passed on cluelessly stride you pour so heavily try my best to look away you have to fall in to see it then maybe we can pick it up you have to fall in to see it then maybe we can pick it up you wish me well then float away i don’t believe it’s what you think my will is off, you pull the knife a subtle shift aside you wish me well then float away i don’t believe it’s what you think my will is off, you pull the knife a subtle shift aside

Hill 03:54
jaded winds will rush my throat you turn your head scattered in this sightless hole is what reflects aimless crawl my bright green hill alone and dry after all you wait until you’ve gathered something i’m searching around for an opening find the words to seep through your skull all along, just for nothing i’m wearing thin just like this i’m wearing thin scathing flood it pummels through in cycling shades idle hunt you’re anchored to the ground you’ve made fraying still beneath your palms selective climb anguish fills the air you long to breathe is crumbling i’m searching around for an opening find the words to seep through your skull all along, just for nothing i’m wearing thin just like this i’m wearing thin i thought you’d come up from the dust invite your touch but never reach your name i thought you’d come up from the dust invite your touch but never reach your name

said there’d be much more than that i’ve lost out remnants of a gleaming face unspoken do you do you notice do you do you notice you, oh you’ll find out you, oh you’ll find out hurriedly you move on past its gone now hopelessly accept the blame you’ve woven do you do you notice do you do you notice you, oh you’ll find out you, oh you’ll find out you, oh you’ll find out you, oh you’ll find out

Fleeting Sun 05:51
wake me up when it’s undone i just cant fall behind what you are has not moved from from pains i can’t define all that’s left is just a mess that circles round your mind weeping shrouds that speak your doubts and tighten in your spine under all things that haunt you lies gentle slight seamless fall what has brought you solace greying eyes this feeling isn’t right this feeling isn’t right hollow touch you’ll feel enough to recognize what’s left floating off the howls of loss will follow me instead trailing backwards fleeting sun it’s me you’ll have to find what comes after we become it won’t need to unwind under all things that haunt you lies gentle slight seamless fall what has brought you solace greying eyes this feeling isn’t right this feeling isn’t right

about

Hailing from San Antonio/Austin, Texas Fawn has stood out in the Texas scene with their noisy and atmospheric performances, joining alongside a mix from supporting touring artists to a local hardcore show. Singer and composer, Trevor Humphreys’ vocal melodies softly carry the songs gracefully, with driving rhythms from drummer, Jes Morales, bassist, James Garcia, and guitarists Olivia Jacome and Giovanni Campos.

“Paper Thin” marks Fawn’s first proper release on Sunday Drive Records and their first full project since 2022’s self-titled EP. While the record stays true to the band’s established sound, these four tracks feel both expansive and stripped down, layered yet effortlessly composed. Each song runs just past the four-minute mark, but doesn’t feel like it, because of the memorable melodies and guitar leads that can easily get stuck in your head.

With “Paper Thin”, Fawn continues to set themselves apart and further solidifies their place in Texas’ thriving alternative-rock scene.
