I wanted leveled readers but did not want to pay for them. I printed a ton of leveled books from reading a-z.com, had my assistants color them, laminate them, and put them together. I then lined each level with different color/types of duct tape and stored two levels per basket which is why there are two types of duct tape on them....poor man's leveled readers!

Make books for homework practice using Reading A-Z resources. Print cover on card stock in color. Print the rest of the pages in black and white or however you want. Voila! Store in manila folders with a color copy of the title paper on the front of the book.
