In fact, my 6-year-old found it in the classroom on Sunday and assembled all of the felt pieces. We started our day by reading some books on ants before heading to this big beautiful mat! You can actually hang it on the wall, but we have a ton of figures to play with, so I decided to stick with the floor today. We looked at all of the rooms and talked about their functions. My 6-year-old places they felt-backed labels on each room. We read some fascinating facts about ant hills and their different rooms with cards from @handsonkidsactivities that I made into a booklet.
