75K views · 6.4K reactions | ▫️HOW TO WORK ON L-SIT PIKE TRANSITION▫️ Here’s some of the work l’ve been doing before the L-sit pike transition. Try and let me know which one is the easiest and the hardest for you! HOW: 🪢 Practice rounding your upper back and sending your chest in with an elastic around your back in both seated and standing. You don’t necessarily need an elastic but it really helps you to register that movement 🧦 Grab blocks and socks, slide your feet through. Make sure you push your chest in before you slide your feet forward between your hands. Then jump your legs through and finally work your way to thinner blocks and eventually your hands will be on the ground 🧱 Stand on a block behind your parallel bars, lift your heels up, try to stack your hips above your shoulders, round your upper back, navel in. Transfer your weight from your feet to your hands and slide your feet through your hands. Hold in L-sit for moment before you sit down 🔄 Reverse the previous drill. Lift up into L-sit and start sending your hips all the way back. Keep your legs straight and try to come back all the way up into standing 👣 Round your upper back and push away from the floor. Lift your feet up, try to tap your flexed feet to your wrists and then land your feet between your hands softly 🪶 Grab your socks and place an elastic loop band on your feet, strap around your back. Hands on the ground and push up. Stack your hips over your shoulders and lift your feet off the ground. Hover the feet in the air, flex the feet and slide them through the arms forward into an L-sit. You can also use blocks under your hands for some extra height for the legs to slide through I have linked linked elastic straps on Amazon list on my stories or saved on highlights “props” . . . . . . . . #yogatutorial #handstandtutorial #yogatips #yogatransit #yogatransitions #handstandpractice | Heidi Karell | yoga - mobility - wellness | Facebook

Hear me out! Yoga is not about being able to do any poses. You are a good yogi even if you can’t do a single arm balance. But if you dream of or desire to venture into these difficult poses, it can be helpful to set a goal. Why? Your mind is very powerful. Perhaps more powerful than you can imagine. If you set a goal, make a plan, and stick to it, you can get further than you might imagine. Five years ago, I wrote down that I wanted to be able to do a handstand. I thought it was…
