These hats hold their slouchy shape {no stuffing or wire inside!} and are aged with cinnamon to give a grungy appearance. This primitive folk art doll was handmade by Stephanie Baker of Old World Primitives using a Veena's Mercantile pattern. She is made of stuffed, painted, sanded, and stained muslin. Her dress is made of stained calico with a black tinsel collar and rusty bells for buttons. Her bag is made of stained muslin, and is filled with dried flowers. She has black seed beads for eyes, and a stained black hat made of osnaburg.

Hexe is handmade by Stephanie Baker of Old World Primitives using a Kentucky Primitives design. She is a primitive folk art witch make-do made of muslin that has been coffee stained, sanded, and rubbed with cinnamon. Her hat has also been stained painted black, and her hair is made of pieces of stained jute painted black. She is mounted on a vintage wooden bobbin, has a hand sewn nose and mouth, and rusty safety pins for a mouth.

Primitive witch's hat

This perfectly primitive hanging witch is an original design and is completely handmade. She measures about 22" tall and has a one of a kind hand sculpted and painted clay face, complete with a wart on her chin and pointy tooth. Her hair and eyebrows are natural flax which I've glued and needlefelted into place on her head. Her dress is made from striped black and tan homespun cotton fabric. Her shawl is painted black cheesecloth fastened with a rusty star.
