Since this is my first time, I’ll be focusing on the learning how to build bookcases and making it look high end with custom trim, so I decided I would start with prefab cabinets for the base. These are upper cabinets from @homedepot and although I needed to add a base and eventually we’ll have to figure out how to attach them to the wall, they are better than starting from scratch. Phase one is nearly complete, Up Next. I’ll be securing them to the base of the wall and then it’ll be time for the custom top.
