These were purchased on impulse at Gatwick, whilst waiting for a flight to Lisboa. Not expensive by any means (£30) but they have a respectable audible range and whilst not "noise-cancelling" by any means, they keep the drone of whirring jet-engines at bay..

Speaking of Moleskine - Their notepads and diaries are second-to-none. Their iPad folio is the best I have seen, and they are even doing special Lego edition notebooks now. Winning.

For flights south of the UK, to Portugal for example, I tend to jump on BA. Nothing "Amazing" about them, apart from a great flag carrier with "most" of the trimmings. Club world / Euro Club...

I'm a little picky when it comes to who I fly with. I like to keep within the Star Alliance if I can, So when I fly from the UK to Germany or anywhere in the eastern block, I check Lufthansa first. Germany's flag carrier never disappoints - sehr schön!!

Meal on Thalys 1st class
Thalys 1st Class / Klas. Occasionally I would find myself in Paris, needing to get back to Brugge, or up to the Satellite Head Office in Amsterdam. Thalys was always the answer in this instance, with a journey time of just under 3hrs30, this is quicker than flying, if you take into account the time spent in airports, checking in and the like. Thalys First Class Lounges are awesome, and help to relax you when you have that little bit longer between connections.

Eurostar. London to Brussels in 2hrs, then a quick 40min regional train across to Brugge, or London to Paris in just over 2hr30min. You'll find me in Standard / Business Premier - Extra Wide, Reclining seats, Full table service, UK and EU Power outlets, all the magazines you could want and much quieter cars - makes working a breeze.
