Upcycled An Old Trunk Into A Bookcase
The hinge was broken when I got this trunk, so instead of fixing it I decided to try something different. Here's the before with the plan of attack. I found a hi-res map graphic that I printed out on 8 regular size pieces of paper. The middle of the graphic is centered on the back wall of the bookcase. I "paint" each page with water to pre-stretch it. Then I mod-podge it to the trunk being careful to gently press out any air bubbles. I had a small wine crate that fit the basic…
