I learned this from grandma | I learned this from grandma | By Food Pop | Alright. Today, I'm going to be making one of my famous no-baked desserts starting off with two to three heaping spoonfuls. You want about a cup of creamy peanut butter there we go and you want it on your pan that's already been heating up a little bit and then we're going to move on to some honey. Now, this is just regular grow store honey nothing fancy we have a half half a cup of that going to add it right to our peanut butter mix stir that up a little bit. Let's go ahead and add a half a cup of butter which is one full stick right on into our saucepan and we're just going to stir this until it's all melted together. Here is our melted peanut butter, butter, and honey. Next, we're going to add some rolled oats. We're going to add two cups right into our pot. Now, this step is optional. I like to go ahead and add a little ground cinnamon in this step but you do not have to if you don't want to. Gonna mix that on in. You can add nutmeg, even some cloves but I think cinnamon is going to be really good. Let's go ahead and mix this all together with our peanut butter mixture. Now that everything is coated in peanut butter and honey Let's go ahead and bring in our baking dish. This is an eight by eight that we lined with parchment paper. Even the the corners are cut because this is going to help you in removing your your dessert later. Let's go ahead and dump this right in the middle. Just like that. Make sure to get all of it out. You want all that goodness. Mmm it smells so good. Honey, cinnamon, peanut butter. Sign me up. Now that everything's in there, let's go ahead and press it into the bottom to get our bottom layer of this no bake dessert. These are great because they're super easy. You're not waiting in the kitchen at the stove and oven for cookies to bake. You just set it and forget it. Alright, we're almost done but we have one final step. Let's go ahead and set this aside. We're going to go ahead and get in a microwave-safe bowl. Let's get about a cup and a half of chocolate chips. I like the milk chocolate kind. You can use dark chocolate or bittersweet. You know what? Let's you know the whole bag never hurt anybody. Alright, it's just regular chocolate chips. Let's go ahead and microwave this until it's all melted in about 20 second intervals so that it doesn't burn. Alright, now that our chocolate is all melted together. Let's go ahead and pour that right on top of our peanut butter oats. Yummy. And get as much of that out as possible but honestly I get to lick the bowl. So if we get not all of it I'll be happy. Spread that on over. Great. Now that everything is covered in a layer of chocolate we're going to place this in the refrigerator for about an hour and let it set. So we were actually at a friend's house now. I brought this over for a treat. We had it chill. So because we used parchment paper we could take that easily and now this is just that's all it takes to clean out. Let's go ahead and place this directly on the cutting board. Place those corners down. I'm so excited to cut into these peanut butter oat bars. One of my infamous no-baked desserts. Gonna go ahead and cut it in half. Might be a little hard to cut into straight from the fridge. You can let it set out a at room temperature if you want. Okay, go ahead and cut a corner over here just to try it. Mmm. Look at that. It's like a homemade chewy bar. Oh, wow. Look at that. Alright, let's go ahead and take a bite. Yeah? Is that good? Mm hmm. Excited to try it. My gosh.
