New Thread, Old Spool Patchwork Quilt Pattern Designed by Lulu Well for Sunspell This project is made by hand and includes template shapes for construction. Instructions are for finished block measuring 12" square (12 1/2" with seam allowance). This PDF is intermediate-advanced and requires knowledge on how to hand piece. This purchase comes with whole quilt colouring diagram. REQUIREMENTS: 3.5 mts (3 ⅞ yds) in solid colour prints. I brought a Fat Quarter bundle from Scribbly Quilt Co called Sunrise. It has 12 Fat Qs in a range of reds, yellows and oranges. I also added some Liberty Lawn solids as a little extra never goes astray! 2 m (2 ¼ yd) in background prints 3 m (3 ⅓ yd) of backing fabric 45 cm (½ yd) of binding fabric 1.5 m (60") of square wadding You will also need general hand piecing equipment including sandpaper board, ¼" ruler, marking pencil, Templastic or cardboard, thread, scissors and other general sewing requirements like pins, needles etc.
