This wonderfully sophisticated, singular Sultanabad entrances the beholder with a vast open field of burnt copper embellished with a breathtaking use of artistic abrash striations (i.e. intentional color shifts), which add a sense of great visual depth. The minimalist Baroque medallion is a visual feast of dancing vinery and flowerheads, virtually lifting off the open background. Clusters of trumpet flowers serve as elegant spandrels in the four corners.
