The body's detox clock
Our biological makeup dictates that we are naturally inclined to be active during daylight hours and to rest during the night. Within each of us ticks a personal body clock, orchestrating our circadian rhythm. Acknowledging and respecting these innate rhythms is likely far more crucial for our overall health than commonly acknowledged. It's not solely lack of sleep that impacts our well-being; interference with our body's natural cycles can influence mood, cognitive sharpness, appetite, and cardiovascular health. Yet, various factors can throw our internal clocks off balance, likely stemming from a blend of genetic predisposition and lifestyle decisions.
We have over 50 hormones that run our entire body! They respond to every decision that we make (lifestyle, nutrition, mindset and pretty much everything else). So rather than blaming your hormones for being imbalanced, let's take a closer look at our decisions and see if we can make small changes to improve our hormonal health and therefore, entire body. When our hormones are balanced, we are happier, leaner, healthier and full of life!
