one side of our small rabbitry. most of the frames in here are made from recycled products. the roofing, some of the cages, the old shingles, the sides made from soffet, etc. It is amazing what you can make out of recycled stuff. my next venture is to make a stand to "pose" the rabbits on to get them used to shows. I want something that is old and rustic looking. I will know what i want when i see it.
used an old dryer for this rabbit cage stand. took the back off and took the drum out and zip tied on a cage added some old soffet recycled from a burned house as my three sides and an old piece of recycled tin for a roof and this whole cage is recycled. It has stood the test of time for about 6 years. i have replaced the floor twice so the cage stand is outlasting the cage wire. LOL
This is an old dryer drum that has been over in the weeds on the back side of our property for several years. Once upon a time, I was going to have a "junk" guy come and haul the dryer away for me, but then I ended up using the bottom of the dryer for a stand for one of our rabbit cages. I pulled this drum out of the weeds spray painted it black and my youngest daughter and I planted her a strawberry patch in it. Can't wait to taste those strawberries!!!!!
