Hails! Another year has sunk into oblivion, and according to tradition, I present my last of the best albums of the Finnish black metal scene. We've heard a lot of good stuff this year, and a number of groups have made themselves felt after years of silence. I am sure that in the new year we will have a lot of interesting things from the adherents of the gloomy dungeons from Suomi.

2023

Greetings! It's time for the results of the Finnish black metal scene for the past 2023.

It's not need to say that Finland has consistently released a lot of great black metal albums over the year and summarizing the results is really quite a task. Anyway, in my opinion, I will decide on the 15 best albums this year. Perhaps someone will disagree with such a choice, but such a taste, and you can't order him.

2022

It's time to take stock of 2022. Traditionally, the Finnish scene has produced a lot of cool black metal albums. Every year my top is slowly expanding and this time I decided to make a list of 15 albums, these are the most liked records of this outgoing year. I added two releases from some collective at once, because they reflect the mood together as holistically as possible.

2021

Greetings!

The year 2021 has come to an end, which means it's time for the results on the Finnish black metal scene. Finnish ovens in the already traditional manner spewed out a lot of decent albums that we listened to during this year. I decided, by analogy with last year, to highlight the 13 best, in my opinion, albums. I didn't have time to finish off some releases of this year, but I think that all the super significant albums were listened to and published by me. This year, they got into my top:

2020

Hail to everyone!

The time has come to summarize the Finnish Black metal scene for the releases in 2020!

What I`m really happy to announce is that it`s still keeping it`s true canonic way and not going to let it down.

I don’t know how Finland tries to be successful with it as for many years I have lost the interest to the biggest part of other Black metal scenes which I used to love. From those are Swedish, French, Iceland and other ones, except some bands which I still follow and waiting for. Nevertheless, I can`t say the same about Finland which black fire continues to inflame every time despite the weather. For now I decided to create my own symbolic top 13 list of the releases which impressed me most of all.

2019

Damn, another year has slipped away fucking fast. It was rich for great releases and from followed ones I would like especially to notify: Meillä Oli Vain Yö, Annihilatus, Sielunvihollinen, Malum, Vargrav, Evil Angel, Nattfog, Kval, Vordr, Iku-Turso, Flail, Vorna, Wyrd, Aegrus, Vampyric Blood, Sargeist and many others so I will not continue the endless list. These bands realesed so many incredible albums which will be staying in my playlist for a long time. Below you can find my top 10 which lets say is the devil fucking up must have this year.

2018

Best Albums 2018

Now it`s time to make up with the end of the year on a finnish black metal scene. In fact it was incredibly fruitful for the excellent releases. Its really hard for me to come up with every year releases outcome of the year but this time its more unreal as there were more great albums found on network which I didnt manage to listen. So, below you will find the top 9 list followed by other ones which are worth of respect. 

2017

The best releases of leaving 2017! 

This year was extremely rich for incredible releases so it was definitely hard to choose top-9 of the year! Its important to mention that it was hard to find really bad ones. Anyway let me start with few releases which were not impressive for me: Vihan Messu (I even didnt post this album) and Clandestine Blaze. 

Here I will continue with the best ones and which impressed me the most: 

2016

It's time to sum up the results of the year going by. As for the finnish black metal scene, it didn't disappoint me, because all the releases I was waiting for were worth it. There were a lot of good albums that I will listen again repeatedly.

2015

2015 wasn't that rich in releases as two previous years. I didn't have any significant musical revelations so far. I began to notice the fact that it is very hard to find an interesting release, on finnish black metal market as well. I'll start with the guys that have dissapointed me: Horna, Havukruunu with their Havulinnaan, Saturnian Mist and their Chaos Magick, Ride For Revenge as well, and I'd also mention a dull Taatsi second LP.
