A morning just like ones before
But in the air a different feeling you ignore
And it burns in your heart
Who knows how everything unwinds
When all the friends you thought you knew have lost their minds
It could tear you apart
Something spurred the vile parts in each of us here to show
Nothing takes the place of the enemies that we know
Something spurred the vile parts in each of us here to show
Nothing takes the place of the enemies that we know
This deep foundation we advance
Is slipping slowly for the one we gave a chance
Is only a fool
To hope that I'd awake at night
And come to realize nothing shone against the light
Is under his rule
Something spurred the vile parts in each of us to show
Nothing takes the place of the enemies that we know
Something spurred the vile parts in each of us here to show
Nothing takes the place of the enemies that we know
All we believe, ours is the only way
Truth in the words, what we together say
All we believe, ours is the only way
Truth in the words, what we together say
How can our unity distraught
Be dragged behind by those unhindered by a thought
With hope for our friends
And what is said for those who lost
When they're repeating lies to justify the cost
And tell where it ends
Something spurred the vile parts in each of us here to show
Nothing takes the place of the enemies that we know
Something spurred the vile parts in each of us here to show
Nothing takes the place of the enemies that we know
All we believe, ours is the only way
Truth in the words, what we together say
All we believe, ours is the only way
Truth in the words, what we together say
This and the new album are my first purchases on bandcamp with a holdable copy of the new one on it's way to me right now, it's just a shame this one has sold out so digital will do for now until one day it's reissued or even better on vinyl, completists like me will always be unsettled by gaps in a collection but now I've got some gloriously unsettling music to go along with..Can't stop listening to the two albums at the moment along with cardiacs and NSRO, each listen reveals something new.. heavenbornmaresnest
This might be the least folky of the Wobbler releases and I wasn't sure about it at all.
After a few listens however I'm loving the inventiveness and the endless melodies, all driven along by Kristian Hultgren's wonderful percussive bass. PartTimeZombie
In the wake of buying the Welcome To The Planet I also went for this older "EP" (clocking in on 70 minutes a rather big big EP...) as a final farewell to a very bright bright star that sadly doesn't shine anymore. Carsten Pieper
Thanks to the nice-endof-year-offer I came to fill this gap in my private worm collection (a, pardon me, worm hole, so to speak :-))
Wonderful reminiscence to many good things past (Canterbury, 70s prog, folk rock) with a good sense of humour and great ideas (both in the songwriting & in the arrangements) . Carsten Pieper
