well of course i can't wait to buy this one, me being the big Thor fan (and animated comic movies in general) i also hope that the included bonus Avengers animated episode is in HD, cause it's made in HD and shown on DisneyXD which is broadcast in HD so, some 1080p & lossless 5.1 would really be nice! of course, i'll settle for 1080p lossy 5.1 if that's all that's available.

can't wait til they release season 1 of the animated avengers series. I love that series.

Me too. This was announced months ago, and it never even crossed my mind til IGN posted the cover art and specs. The beginning is even on the Planet Hulk extras, remember? I think he was fighting with some chick.

They're been putting most of their focus in TV series. Hopefully now The Mouse owns Marvel, we'll see more.

Oh I also love how Alex Ross is now doing the cover art for the Marvel animated movies. First Planet Hulk and now Thor, I really hope this trend continues!

I'll wait and see on this one. Not sure about the Marvel series animated movies. Planet Hulk was OK at best and I sold it on ebay. Not heard the best about their other animated movies. It's funny, I like the live action Marvel movies better than DC but the DC animated series better than Marvel.

After this one I wouldn't be surprise to see a Captain America Marvel animated movie..just in time for the release of the live action one.

Marvel's deal with Lionsgate is done after this one. The reason why they have fallen behind is they wanted to let this last one out. Thiswas supposed to be released last year but I'm assuming they changed the date to tie in with the Thor movie.

Marvel did not renegotiate their contract with them after the Disney acquisition. I'm guessing once this one is done, the House of Mouse will focus on their own animated Marvel films/syndicated cartoons.

And that's a good thing.

Only if it means Pixar will now be involved, I believe I remember hearing they wanted to do a Marvel movie at some point.

The live action movie looks pretty good. This, however looks somewhat horrendous based on the sneak peek I've seen. Thor has always look lame to me in term of character design: e.g in Marvel vs Capcom 3. I'll rent it when it comes out.
