Default Step Up Revolution

Another "Step Up" Film in the Works

Quote:
Summit Entertainment is moving forward with yet another "Step Up" installment, now the fourth. Just like the last film, "Step Up 4" will be done in 3D, but will be set in Miami.

The third "Step Up" was directed by Jon Chu, who went on to helm Justin Bieber's "Never Say Never" and is now getting ready to direct the sequel to "GI Joe."

Since Chu isn't returning, the studio replaced him with Scott Speer, a music video/commercials director who has helmed videos for Jordin Sparks and Will.I.Am. He also previously worked with Chu on TV episodes of "The LXD: The Legion of Extraordinary Dancers."

Never seen one of them but with how much money they make I don't see them stopping anytime soon.

Step Up Cost: 12 Mill Made: 114 Mill
Step Up2 Cost: 23 Mill Made: 148 Mill
Step Up3D Cost: 30 Mill Made: 42 Mill

Well something happened with Step Up 3D. It almost looks like Fast and the Furious. The first two movies did well and the third movie madd money but not like the other two. If the 3rd move was not in 3D I think it would of broke even. I would say bring back the cast of the first and second movie and don't make it in 3D and you have 100+ million in theaters.

Step Up 3D made $159 million worldwide so the franchise still does good worldwide to consider making more of these. Never knew it made that low though in the US.

I loved the third. They should have waited 'til Chu is done with G.I. Joe 2.

Honestly, as long as the leads are reasonably hot, there's no way I can complain.

Did we even have a poll for the ranking of Step Up 3D? I don't think we did.

August 10, 2012 is the release date.

I saw Part 2 and 3 in theatres, but the movies are gradually going downhill and getting cheaper and cheaper looking actors.

If I'm going to pay $9 to watch these shitty movies I want to see some good looking people at least.

I liked the first. Hated the second. Loved the third. I'm down for a fourth.

Cant wait. I am a big fan of the franchise. I rank them in the order that they came out but I have to say the choreography and battle sequences in the last one is the best I have ever seen. Loved the story and chemistry of the first film and the 2nd one was just all around good. Got Em!!

No mention of the 3-D?

Looks decent. But I'm tired of the same old pairings. Decent looking guy + okay looking brunette. The Step Up girls from 2-4 could play sisters. That's how similar they look.

If there's a Step Up 5, I want a blonde girl this time. Or a guy that's not Caucasian.

This looks awful. Don't they understand that Step Up 3 had money shot after money shot of dance choreography in the film and in the trailer (I loved Step Up 3 and hated the first two)?

Looks pretty good and Im sure I will like it as I like the first 3, but I hope that it is in 3-D. Also hope there is a connection atleast to the last film as the previous films had connections with each other. I do believe Moose is supposed to be in this and if so then there would be the connection. Got Em!!
