I think Spiderman3, POTC3 or Transfomers will be bigger...,
but yes it will be one of the biggiest with other two pixar releases on same day...

same i think im going to have too sell a kidney or something lol might just clear out the rest of the dvds now and make way for the titles coming our way! But this is some great news and i cant wait for Cars!

Hi, first time poster here. PS3, 2 52" DLP Tvs. I dont know about you guys, but with a 2 year old in the house who loves everything Cars. This is the release I am most looking forward too. We watch Cars almost every day in our house, so now at least I will get to enjoy it in Blu Ray!!!! Can't wait! This holidy is going to be an expensive one with all the great Blu movies and PS3 games coming out!

In the specs it says that you can save the progress of the mini-games even after you take the disc out. This seems to me like a BD-LIVE feature requiring the player to have a hard-drive of some sort.

Can anybody confirm if this is the first BD-LIVE title?

If it is, then I hope all of us PS3 owners get an update to BD-LIVE compatibility. This wouldn't be the first time Disney pushed the envelope with Blu-ray. They did the same thing with POTC films by using BD-J. An update was required for those titles as well.

I'm really surprised there isn't more hype around this movie. Cars is a really fun movie and even the DVD version looks and sounds kick ass. Here's my brief review, relative to other DVDs:

Movie: A
Video: A+
Sound: A+

For anybody running an even half decent home theatre set up, I encourage you to give your system a work out with this DVD.

NOW, IMAGINE HOW KICK ASS THE BLU-RAY RELEASE WILL BE!??!!!...

In summary, I'm tellin' you, be sure to buy Cars on Blu-ray. This one will surely exceed expectations, and in my humble opinion, will be a coveted, must own, Disney Blu-ray reference quality disc.

I agree with an LPCM track this movie will come to life! Even in Dolby Digital this movie made excellent use of the surrounds.

Thank you! I can't imagine how much better this will sound with LPCM, but I'm sure it will be a thunderous ear splitter!!... Again, a MUST OWN Blu-ray. We're frickin' lucky Disney's doin it!!!!!!

This movie does sound pretty excellent for a DVD. I love the beginning THX bit where the thing is flying around to fix the logo, the placement is spot on...

Will probably get this eventually.

yeah, I'm pretty blown away by how clean and impactful it sounds on DVD. Again, I'm just pumped that it will only get better on Blu-ray!!!
