A shame they abandoned the 3D plans - I could see it working well for the film and would have been a nice bonus.

I guess Fox can look back at their past 3D conversion releases and see low sales but then who was asking for a 3D release of Jumper?

um me? I'll buy any live action 3D release. Jumper is OK.

I sometimes feel like the only person who actually hated this film. Once you get past the effects, which are spectacular, the remaining film is pretty meh. Does it want to be a comedy? Does it want to be a sci-fi? Does it want to be an advert for Apple? I really don't know.

It is all of those things because it's a 90's summer blockbuster! Independence Day is arguably one of the quintessential examples of 90's summer blockbusters.

Independence Day came out the same summer as Twister and the The Rock. All three made summer 96 awesome in film.

One of my favourites. Have held off buying the previous release hoping that when the sequel (eventually) came around they would release a new disc with both cuts, so here we are

Needless to say, day one buy for me!
