Does anyone know what's happening with the North American release of Season 4 Part 2 on Blu-ray?

Amazon has it listed for pre-orders, but it's been sitting in that state for at least six months on $49.99, with no release date, and according to Amazon customer service they have no release information. The latest volume has already been released to BD in Region B (the UK and Australia, for example), but still not in Region A. (I could buy it in another version, but I have the previous four volumes from the US, so I'd like to stay consistent.)

Does anyone know what's going on with this?

It normally comes 4-5 months after the season finishes airing on TV. I think it just ended about a month ago, so I think it's safe to say that will probably be another 3-4 months before it comes out.

If you can't wait (Vikings Season 4 Volume 2). Aussie releases (3x Standard, JB HiFi Exclusive (alt. cover art/Slipcover) and Sanity exclusive (Alt.Cover, Slipcover) play Region A.

Has the usual Play Episode, Play Extended Episode, Season Play (every episode extended) when I put it into my US model Sony player.

Interestingly, it had different menu on my Region B player, as well as Season Play, had only extended episodes available! (As play episode). This may be due to the fact that Australia can play uncut content on broadcast TV (Aussie broadcaster SBS HD).

I doubt anyone knows. The blu ray usually streets 1 month prior to the New season starting. I'm afraid you have a while to wait.

I understand your consistency issue. I continued to buy the same exclusive, that started as JB Exclusive and by Season 4 became Sanity exclusive (pic attached below).

So if you did purchase standard release, Aussie Sanity (which has removable ratings sticker on Slipcover) OR JB HiFi Exclusive (sticker? ), you will have a 15mm case, rather than the 12mm (which I assume US BD case is).
Slipcover won't fit over 12mm case AND you will get MA15+ ratings on cover (uploaded cover pics so they should be up soon).

Can anyone tell me if the "Season Mode" plays the "Extended Cut" in all the previously released seasons? I can't seem to find an answer to this. Thank you!

I'm glad this show is getting all the BD love. Will definitely be adding S4.2 to the collection!

Oh please, I have no issue in waiting for items, most of which have an announced release; mine was a straightforward question on why this was delayed, without even a release date, when it's already on-shelf in other regions. (Something that, to my knowledge, hasn't been the case with previous seasons.) Given the show has had significant issues with production dates and processes for season 4, it's not unreasonable to think there might be known info on what was happening.

I can tell you, from memory, Season mode plays Extended Cuts in Season 3, Season 4 Pt 1 & Season 4 Pt 2.
So, while assumption can be the mother of all frak ups, I would assume that S1 & S2 would do the same.

PS. For anyone wanting to fork out for Aussie release (which plays Region A), the JB HiFi Exclusive version:

has a "removable ratings sticker" on the slipcover, much like the Sanity Exclusive (that I bought and pictured below).
However, you would still get the ratings sticker on the front and back cover of the disc slipcover (and case is a 15mm case, not 12mm).

The Canadian release has already been released and is available on Amazon.ca for C$32.98. With shipping it is around US$32.

Strangely Amazon is claiming I'll have my copy by the end of the month which would imply it ships next week. Must be an error on Amazon's part as it's saying the same for Prometheus 4K...

Contacted FOX connect and was told this is coming out October 3rd, 2017 on blu-ray/DVD. Not sure why such a long wait, but at least it's coming!
