I'm wondering that as well. Plenty of other titles that need to be released rather than re-releasing this. Odd decision.

Ditto, kind of my policy the last few years is not buy an older popular releases that i have not as of yet and just wait for the re-release

Wasn't there a commentary with the director that got removed or something? I think it was stated that she recorded one for the 2-disc DVD but it wasn't used for some reason.
