A number of us do own it. We talked a bit about it in the "Recommend a modern indie horror film" thread a few months back. I loved it and posted my initial recommendation for it. I would imagine for a lot of folks the BD-R status is a big turn off though.

This. I dont give a rip about it being BD-R it looks great and I got it from amazon for 10 bucks. Tragedy girls is also bd-r and that movie looks great as well. I dont care what it is i just want the movie.

L'Atelier d'Images releases a french BD (BD 25 / 1080p) with a DTS DH MA 5.1 english and french audio (with optional french subtitles), with bloopers, trailers and the french commentary on april 9th. Audio and video are really good.

Received this new from Amazon and thought I had been sent a bootleg copy. so I guess its good that I didn't? Its still a BD-R which is super lame.
This is a good movie! A real shame this wasn't treated better. |

Sadly what you got was the official US release. I'm glad you enjoyed the movie though. I got a kick out of this one during my first viewing a while back and have been meaning to revisit it to see how it holds up.

So what's up with the US release? I just got this from Netflix's disc-by-mail last week and – at the time – paid no particular attention because I hadn't seen the movie and didn't know anything about it.
After looking into purchasing it, apparently it's only available as a BD-R for Region A, which is a major turn off for me. But the disc I received from Netflix was 100% a pressed BD-ROM. The disc art was even slightly different than what is depicted in the photo on Amazon in a review. So, not that anyone else necessarily knows anything, but what gives? If there exist pressed discs for Region A, why can't we buy those? |

Update: My bad. For some reason I thought we were talking about 'Summer of '42'.... Your only options are imports. (where most of them are region B-locked). Last edited by kishiro; 05-24-2021 at 09:36 AM. |

With Vinegar Syndrome recently partnering with Gunpowder & Sky, I really hope this is a film that gets revisited for a proper release. I almost never buy movies on BD-r, but I made an exception here. I'd be very happy to see VS release a proper pressed disc edition.
