Since everyone is talking about different tv shows online for free, why not movies too? For those that aren't computer savvy and into using Torrents this is a good alternative to get a sneak peak at in-theater movies. The quality is bad but that's what you get with cam copies and online hosting.

I don't want this turning into a debate regarding copyright issues and how it's morally wrong, yadda yadda yadda. It's just a site. Use it if you want.

I expect to see this site shut down within 6 months and the owner being sued or serving jail time. It always happens with these types of sites when they can no longer exploit a copyright loophole or blatantly pirate copyrighted material without permission. Enjoy it while you can.

Do the users of the sight ever get into any legal trouble like those who actually download music and videos illegally?

I'm not sure about that actually. My guess is that it could compare to drug trafficking in the sense that the users are small potatoes - taking down the source will cease the users. With a massive user base it is easier to track down and persecute those hosting the files rather than those accessing them. Then again, the RIAA has been known to go after random people such as the lawsuit against the 12 year old for up to $150,000 a song. (link if you're curious)

Yeah ive heard of similar cases as the 12 year old, do those cases hold up, or do they get dismissed, cause that would seriously suck.

Not sure if they hold up. In the RIAA's eyes, theft is theft and they have to draw a line somewhere.

Yes, as previously stated, the quality is bad :)

Yeah, I’ve seen a bunch of those sites come and go over the years. They usually pop up, get super popular for a few months, and then vanish once copyright complaints start rolling in. I used to check them out just to see what all the fuss was about, but the bad video and muffled sound on cam copies ruin the experience for me. Honestly, I’d rather wait until a movie hits a streaming platform or buy a cheap digital rental — saves the hassle and the constant hunt for working links.

has been around for a while and works decently from a browser. Just don’t expect perfect quality or reliability since sites like these can disappear anytime.

Honestly, this whole thread should be nuked.

RIAA and the Copyright Gestapo or not, these "free video" sites are just bad in general. Use them at your own risk.

I would be very wary about sites like these, though, as they often come with various forms of spyware and malware that will do everything from collect your data for sale to data brokers to outright rob you or even put your computer into a "mining hive" to utilize your compute cycles to do things that require extremely high levels of computational power in concert with many other compromised systems. Things like encryption cracking, hash table hacking or bitcoin mining. I have even seen malware that will take up free space on your computer's disk drive, format it and hide it from your operating system and use it to store things like stolen NFTs, stolen bitcoin and other forms of illegal or ill-gotten, tokenized media that you don't want anywhere near you.

So the video site might be "free" but it can cost you and the "free" part is illegal but often a subterfuge for much more nefarious efforts.

Much safer to side load a streamer stick/box and run it with a VPN. Caveat emptor.
