They were probably just out of it. "Supply chain issues" and all that.

At the store. You buy black paint at the store.

I, literally, get the mail ads from them every Thursday with the circular pack. There's a Rastelli's location about 4.5 miles from house. They're just...expensive. The quality is good but a guy could go broke shopping there. There's other local butchers that are just as good for better prices. But if you're not in the…

I've found that the biggest thing I would go to Aldi for is fresh meats and vegetables, frozen or fresh. We don't get too much pre-packaged stuff so there's no benefit for us at Aldi's. Aside from that, we go to BJ's Wholesale Club and get meats and vegetables there. I can get better prices on meats because I get the whole…

Gawd, I so do not miss electric coffee pots. A decade running a stove top percolator, the same one for all ten years, and I don't miss automatic drip or Keurig or anything else like it.

The McRib is still pretty tasty. Although the onions could be more fresh

McRib is back, BTW

US home sales fall for 8th month in a row in September, the longest slump since 2007 https://www.cnn.com/2022/10/20/homes/existing-home-sales-september/index.html

Lighten up, they're just good natured fun. Nothing to take personal. If anything, if you're included it's evidence that you've had a positive impact on the community in enough measure that people know who you are. It's just friends ribbing each other, nothing more.

See, slide outs are cool! https://homemaking.com/hannah/man-builds-tiny-log-cabin-bed-ford-truck/
-
Yep! And since a slide out only weighs like 800-1200 pounds, I could still tow a boat and be the big shot at The Redneck Riviera!

Well, MY Lightning went camping this weekend and actually went offroad to get to the campsite. I don't know that it has the payload capacity for a slide-in camper, though. Big Sloppy might. Well, actually it does, it just doesn't have the hook ups for it. I'd have to wire those myself. But with a 9460 pound GVW and a curb…

I thought Mike Reeter was a member here? I swear I remember seeing him posting.

I like slide in campers so that should tell you something

What can I say? I've always wanted to find out what it would be like to be one of the cool kids

I'm getting tired of kids laughing at me for putting "Lightning" badges on my stupid gas powered truck.

That's what their plan they released in June said was going to happen.

I think he's talking about this that popped up today. It's not that it happened already just that the conditions are met for the Fed to say the next hike is necessary. It will likely happen in November. It's behind a pay wall, though. I saw a summary on an aggregator site but it's not worth linking to because it doesn't…
-
The Feds flat out said they were going to do staged rate increases over the next 6 months and that was back at the end of June. If their timeline is accurate, they have two more hikes coming before the end of the year. Then they're going to reassess and see if more rate hikes are needed. I heard a talking head on a news…

I can't believe we're still pushing the "not inflation" and "not a recession" narrative.

Depends. Stuff like the Explorer Sport Trac had the 4.5 foot bed and I believe the new Rangers with the 4 doors come with a 4.5 foot bed. So do the Jeep pickups. Full sized, though, the 4 doors have 5 or 5.5 foot beds unless it's something like a Super Duty then you can get 6.5 foot and 8 foot sizes. The only way you can…

Every 4 door truck that isn't a "heavy duty" model (i.e.: 250/2500 class or bigger) has the micro bed. In my experience, most of them has been owned by one of two people. Person 1: Crew foreman, doesn't need the big trucks, that's what the crew has, needs the interior space for people, paperwork, etc. Doesn't use the bed…

That's pretty obtuse and pretty much troll baiting. Real estate is not just housing. Housing is only part of real estate. Real estate encompasses all land, developed and undeveloped. The housing market relies on the mortgage industry and borrowing. The borrowing vs. valuation of the property borrowed against, that's where…
