Knibblin' pins. Both the very common Left -hander one and an elusive and far more rare right handed one

I had a girlfriend at one point who did the Valentine's Day Tree too. Seems silly to me but what harm is there? It made her happy and that was good for me too if you know what I mean!

Well, when you're a creampuff that's never done an honest day's of labor in your life, one can see how arrogant statements like that will just totally endear you to others. The dismissiveness with which you've approached others trying to help someone through their own experience only shows how out of touch you actually…

So, I've had several stress injuries that ended up with tendon or muscle damage. Everything from "turf toe" to torn muscles. Healing time depends on how bad the injury is and how well it can stay immobilized. The "turf toe" took 10 weeks to heal because, well, I wouldn't stay off it. I'm dealing with a reinjury on that now…

Tear a deltoid and that bicep is gonna feel like a cake walk. The pain is intense and unrelenting to the point where it makes you want to vomit. Only pain that I ever had that was worse was a radial fracture of a finger. Think of a phone cord and your finger bone resembling that.

Keep it up! You doofuses are gonna say his name too many times and then he's gonna show up and you'll be sorry

I was just talking to the kids about why you should clean off your vehicle in the snow before driving this morning on the way to school in the snow. I'm going to show them your pictures. Also, on the thing about clearing trucks, when I worked at the diesel shop, we had a bar over the yard gate. The bar could be raised and…

Can I ask a question? Disclaimer first: I did not watch the Super Bowl. I didn't watch a single game all season unless I happened to be at a bar or restaurant and the game happened to be on. I have not watched football since 2016 and the NFL made it clear that Kaepernick's shenanigans and attention seeking were more…

Most of the "Polkfests" have been on the East Coast or the Gulf Coast/Texas.
-
He's east coast, in the Carolinas. You'll either need to start driving 2 days before the meet or get a plane ticket

Gonna eat a lot of peaches?

Yeah, they were also available on the high end SGI O2 workstations. We got the PC's in to the virtualization development team at Lockheed and since speakers were verboten on any system attached to a classified network, we had 5 pairs of them doing nothing. The team lead, Eric Halpern saw me looking at them and said "You…

Here, couldn't find a picture with the grills off so I took a picture of the ones I'm still using on my desk. The HP ones look the same but both the depth offset and spacing between drivers is different. Drivers are the same, though. Similar numbers on the magnets and impedances. That looks very similar to a Blackstone.

The other super nerd from Polk I knew well enough was "Polk Paul". The first Polkfest I went to at HQ, I met him in the parking lot because I asked one of the Kims, either Jasper or maybe Wong if anyone could identify something I had. Al Ballard overheard me and said "Sure! What do you have?" I said it was in the truck and…

He is a fan of Mr. Beam. He and a few others were well into a bottle at one of my Polkfests with someone, I can't remember who it was. Might have been a couple of my neighbors. He was ragging on my office rig because they couldn't figure out how the phono pre-amp was hooked up. I had it set up to run through optical output…

He was a blast at both PF's I had too

LinkedIn says he's still Vice President of Program Development at Sound United

I am under no pretentions on what a privateer in this instance actually is. I was perusing Gun Broker for cannons. There are, sadly, there are surprisingly not many carronades available for purchase at this time. Maybe if this comes to fruition, it will foster growth in the market. Side note: anyone know how to rig a…
-
Yeah, not really sure how that works. I was just intrigued by the idea of modern day privateers. Made me chuckle and wonder at the same time. A proxy war in the Caribbean fought by Privateers/Pirates in this day and age? Could you imagine? How would you even control it?
-
How's that saying go? Oh, yeah... Thanks for that, Disney!

I've been using AMSOIL in everything since I got the Lightning in 2001. All the Fords and Lincolns get Motorcraft filters too. Unless I can't find them then it's Purolator One. That's air, oil, cabin and fuel too. I change oil every 5,000 miles or 6 months. Which ever comes first. I don't really go anywhere anymore since I…

Honestly, it's easily preventable. If the dust got distributed through the house via the duct systems, some plastic cling wrap and magnetic vent covers would have worked wonders. They are essentially just sheets of magnetic paper that you would use to print stuff on to make, like, fridge magnets or a magnetic sign for a…

Air compressors will spray moisture and lubricating oil. Not recommended for electronics. At least not without a de-ionizing dryer installed in-line. ESD standards dictate those for a minimum. You'll also need a grounded air line as compressed air can build up a static charge. There's a reason that you don't see…

I'm not sure what you are meaning about changing connections in regards to a VPN. VPN stands for Virtual Private Network. What it allows you to do is log into a network from your local network. You then access everything you need to access on another network via that VPN instead of your own egress point on your network.…

Ok, this is probably a stupid song and going to make some eyes roll but...this one makes me think every time. Back in the late 80's early 90's when I was a kid in the Boy Scouts, we went to summer camp several times at Rodney Scout Reservation in Maryland which is, literally, in The Chesapeake Bay. Like literally. I…

Needed a good chuckle today. Miss ya, Mr. Grand.
