I got to see Abdullah Ibrahim (aka Dollar Brand) in concert several years ago at the Rialto Theater in Atlanta. Surprisingly, the event did not sell well and we wound up being invited to sit on the front row. Extraordinary improvisational musicianship from a South African jazz artist of the highest order.
