I would enjoy meeting some fellow Polkies. Still a NFG and lots to learn. Ears wide open.
-
That TEAC is BRUTE of an integrated. Wow...very nice.
-
I have never experienced these but I would love to. These look sweet.
-
Payment sent via paypal for center channel speaker cable and 2.5 reference digital coaxial.
-
The center speaker cable only. I thought the digital reference was a digital coaxial.
-
I will take 2.5 digital reference and the 2ft singal center.
-
Put me in line for a pair should anyone change their mind.

703s have been used heavily for the last 6 weeks. They are a joy for 2-channel listening and the bass does dig pretty low and is tight and articulate. I do love these speakers and have no intention of letting them go... Just for grins I put the 60s back in play and these are great as well, I actually missed them. For…

Great looking set up. Congrats.
-
This unit is slightly above budget but checks all the boxes.
-
The 15s could be an option. She is set on using the turntable but I want to avoid a rabbit hole at my expense.
-
Wow. There are options, I think the HK would best the Yammy if I can find one though either would work for her. One requires a phono preamp and the other a wireless dongle or device.
-
That little receiver doesn’t look bad for this scenario.

Add me to the list. Sending PM

I have the 60s and my room is acoustically challenged, hard floors and open floor plan. Like others have suggested I got an area rug 8 x 11 and really thick. This helped but also adding an amp to my AVR made a significant difference as well as better cables. Bigger fuller sound and I did not find the high end bright. These…

Thank you Scott. I am pretty happy with it. I will at some point write a comparison between the 703s and 60s, I have been waiting for them to “break-in. So far very impressed with the low end and experimenting with placement.
-
Couple of Pics.. pretty darn pleased with these.
-
Ended up with the Pangea DS 400s. Loaded with 50lbs of sand per stand these are over 75lbs each. Very solid, no leakage and the 28" seem to be the perfect height for me. Great match for the 703s which seem to be getting better by they day.
-
Amp, amp and amp. Like many have said used Parasound or B&K gives you some good bang for the buck.
-
Okay, the coupling and decoupling concepts are a bit advanced for me at this point and I have never really thought about it but is does make some sense. However, I hear that most have stands that top plates are much smaller than their speaker and have no issues. Appreciate the feedback and suggestions.
-
They look nice but yes they are considerably more, 350 plus. It sounds like many have used the sanus without fail but the 6 x 6 plate seems too small.
-
I think 26" or 28" would be best, most of what I see has a 6x6.5 top plate which makes me a little nervous. Thinking bigger top would be better but there are not a lot options.
-
yes, they do...damn rabbit hole :)
-
Back where I started, no stands. I ended up sending the sanus 22" back, thought they would be a little too short. Increasing my budget to around 2 bills.
-
Skip, I am 2.5 hrs in on these things and have an early meeting tomorrow but I don't want to go to bed, I want to keep listening :) Don't get me wrong the 60s rock but these are definitely all about the music.
-
Thanks that's a good idea. How much weight did you add to each stand?
-
The plan is to fill them, haven't determined with what yet. Waiting to determine the level of effort. Will let you know what I think about the 703s.
-
Ordered the Sanus Steel Series 22". Thank for all the reccomendations. https://www.amazon.com/Sanus-Speaker-Stands-Bookshelf-Speakers/dp/B004STEH08

I saw those but I am looking for 24-26 in height and think shipping on those would be a killer.
-
Great recommendations. I think I am wavering between the Monoprice and Daytons?
