The Foraminifera.eu physical collection
is housed at the Foraminifera.eu Lab in Hamburg, Germany and in Bologna, Italy.
It contains millions of specimens, of which 7.947 are identified, photographed and catalogued. 4.248 specimens are fossils.
They represent 1.719 species (224 sp.), of which 1.143 are fossils. The collection does not contain type material but focuses on assemblages.
Part of the collection are the Cesare Brizio collection and the Plummercell slides of Karl-Otto Bock
