I am hearing this band, and album, for the first time in January 2025, so I understand I'm more than a little late to the Basement party. I'm sure this has been said a hundred times before, but there are moments in this record where I legitimately thought I was listening to Seaweed. If you grew up with Knapsack, Lifetime, Superchunk, Samiam, Seaweed, or nearly any other '90s band that starts with an S, this is an immediate buy. I'm old so I don't know if there are more current reference points.
