A selection of DIY sandpit ideas that are easy to build and work well in smaller urban gardens.

This sandpit was designed by the amazing Wendy Titman - check out the link for more info. Look at the use of surrounding vegetation and the smooth concrete curves of the edge that invite children to walk along it. The sandpit also has a spill zone to catch sand that gets inadvertently moved out of the sandpit. In the background you can see the water play feature so water can be transported.

Our sand and water tables make great workspaces for children to get messy! We purposefully make these products abstract in what children can achieve with them in order to encourage creativity and imagination when playing. It is up to them what they do with the equipment, whether that is drawing, making towers, funnelling water away, creating dams etc. There are unlimited options!
