When starting RV life Jared and I decided we would drink out of our fresh water tank! (Which most campers chose not to do due to water purity concerns) We have been drinking out of our tank for months with ZERO issues! Here’s the play by play! Fresh Tank Sanitization Process: 1. Make sure you’re on full hook ups, it will be much easier. 2. Fill your fresh water tank with a 1/4 cup of bleach per 15 gallons. Our tank is 90 gallons so we added 1.5 cups of bleach. 3. Right before bed run the bleach water through all the lines and let it sit overnight. 4. The next morning open all the lines and clear out all the water! Then add more water and flush it through again. 5. Don’t forget to open up your low point drains as well and you’re all set for another 6 months! The whole process is pretty straightfoward, but should be done twice a year to keep bacteria from growing in your fresh water tank! This underbelly tape is inexpensive and will hopefully prevent more damage before we can replace the floor in this trailer slide. We applied it to our other slide floors to prevent water from getting into them, too. ⬇️TIPS⬇️ ✅️ Have two people to work with the tape. It's very sticky ✅️ If you can, loosen the current trim piece and wrap it up under the trim to secure it better. ✅️ Use a blow dryer to help the tape adhere better. Do you have a good fix for this?
