stuffed cube, for extra seating! Pretty self explanatory DIY, take 6 pieces of square fabric, sew all but one side together in a cube shape, and stuff! I used store bought stuffing as well as a bunch of old foam I cut up from an old mattress topper. Then sew up the last side and sit! :D

Fireplace cover-baby proofing -Cut the frame from a sheet of 1/2" plywood. -Cut foam to size and attach with spray adhesive (I used an xl twin mattress topper and had leftover foam) -make sure corners are sufficiently covered in foam. Add an additional foam piece on the corners before upholstering if necessary -cover with fabric using staple gun. -throw some pillows on top to match your decor for a cute seating area and extra deterrent for the little one.
Storage Daybed
DIY storage day bed. You build the boxes yourself. It is laid out for a twin mattress...but I WONDER if it could be readjusted a little for a left-over crib mattress and be used as a kind of "bench" perhaps in a kid's room or office or something.... **hmmm**
