While the recent sounds may be a departure enough to be a new band altogether and I wish Joey would break from the ambient falsetto and open up the vocals and powerful instrumental moments every now and then, this is genius. The craftsmanship on display here solidifies that no matter the tone of the album, we will be blessed with thoughtful and thought provoking music straight from the heart.
