Song For Héloïse

about

New song by Frederico Heliodoro. This time featuring the french violin player, Héloïse Lefebvre. Heliodoro plays the piano and keyboards. Recorded in their own home studios during the pandemic.
“This song was written in 2020 right when pandemic hit. It was one of my first “pandemic collabs” when I started experimenting different approaches in my composition. I was in a one minute song phase and Heloïse and I talked about making a video together. So I wrote this song thinking about our video but also trying to write in an endless way, never coming back to the starting point.
Influenced by Wayne Shorter`s work in the 80s and by Kurt Rosenwinkel`’s song “Casio Escher” that I played so many times with the Caipi Band. It lasted one minute because of social media posting limitations at the time. But Héloïse wrote this beautiful intro arrangement and the song got a whole other dimension and I love it. Hope you love it too.”
