El Señor X tiene a bien compartir con la audiencia un concierto de los Who celebrado en 1969 que ilustre nuestro especial dedicado a los Who. En concreto este directo se grabó en Amsterdam el 29 de septiembre de 1969 durante uno de los bolos de presentación de su LP más emblemático: TOMMY. Es un set list muy similar al mítico Live At Leeds, donde ejecutan Tommy prácticamente en su totalidad, junto a otros grandes temas. Una maravilla de concierto que muestra la fuerza arrolladora de la banda en directo. Que los disfrutéis.

Con motivo del 50 aniversario del Tommy de los Who (y aprovechando que tenemos al propio Tommy entre nuestras filas), hemos preparado un superespecial en el que no nos limitamos a analizar el disco original, sino que hacemos un repaso a todas las versiones de la obra que han sido editadas a lo largo de estos 50 años. Las palabras se quedan cortas para explicar el cariño que le tenemos a este disco, mejor que escuchéis el programa, sólo esperamos haber estado a la altura de uno de nuestros discos favoritos de todos los tiempos. Si no conoces aún a Tommy y sus andanzas, este puede ser un buen momento para acercarte a esta apasionante obra; si ya lo conoces, te ofrecemos un análisis del disco, la gira posterior, la película, el disco sinfónico, el musical… y mucho más (ver lista de canciones), una visión panorámica bastante completa de Tommy en sus diversas encarnaciones. The Who - Woodstock (16.08.1969)

The Who no quería tocar en Woodstock, estuvieron deprimidos todo el día. La banda llegaba de unos directos entre algodones en Londres y no empatizó con el ideario hippie que irrumpía en sus conciertos y no respetaba sus minutos de gloria. Además, para prevenir el fracaso, exigieron su paga por adelantado y obligaron a un helicóptero de la organización a desplazarse hasta el banco de Nueva York. Con el tiempo han entendido que posiblemente se trataba del evento más importante de sus vidas.
