about
Harm Production is about learning the hard way that addiction and recovery aren’t linear. That lesson has come with waves of anger, shame, and resentment, even years into continuous sobriety. They say “one day at a time” for good reason, though, and it’s okay that it’s one step forward and two steps back sometimes. Every day I don’t drink is a win.
lyrics
Filling up on flowers and rotten grains
Falling out of the chair I made from milk crates
Waking up on the floor with a headache
Crawl back to Davis Square for another case
Keep quiet as though nothing comes true
Until you say it aloud with someone in the room
I’ll be your best in show
If we’re competing to prove
You can lead me to water
But you can’t make me choose
I want to fist fight
My higher power
I want to run myself into the ground
Under a new light
I’m still a coward
And if you learn from pain
Guess I’m genius now
Got an abundance of time I never asked for
Might use it wisely
Depends how you define that, though
I’ve only got three speeds
Sprint, spiral, and sink
Straight to the bottom of my self esteem
Keep quiet as though nothing comes true
Until you say it aloud with someone in the room
I’ll be your darkest horse
If the goal’s to refuse
To have a dog in the fight
When there’s no fight left to lose
I want to fist fight
My higher power
I want to run myself into the ground
Under a new light
I’m still a coward
And If you learn from pain
Guess I’m genius now
I want to fist fight
My higher power
I want to run myself into the ground
I’ll be your best in show
If we’re competing to prove
You can lead me to water
But you can’t make me choose
Under a new light
I’m still a coward
I’m going to run myself into the ground
I’ll be your darkest horse
I’ll make another excuse
Why have a dog in the fight
When there’s no fight left to lose?
I want to fist fight

there's few albums that have such a great, charming and cool vibe, so dark and muffled whilst sounding so bright. it's oscillating between orchestral-like pieces and bedroom pop, and it just works. this is going in the reference music playlist Unit's Daydream
