Carpenter Brut et PERTURBATOR ont permis à la synthwave d'acquérir le statut de genre légendaire, ravissant même le cœur des métalleux et métalleuses — au point d'éclipser les autres artistes. Et pourtant Dynatron sait se défendre avec ses trois premiers E.P., réunis dans The Legacy Collection, Vol I. En plus d'être aussi énergique (sa guitare électrique fait rêver), il donne l'espoir de quitter la terre ferme. Après un décollage épique, on nage dans des textures lisses, ambiantes. Très bon !

Si Dynatron s'est très vite intéressé aux différents états de la matière, c'est véritablement dans Aeternus qu'il laisse libre cours à ses désirs d'expériences ; d'ailleurs, ce deuxième opus a le droit à un "Aeternus Theme", à un motif musical caractéristique, comme si l'éternité changeait de forme pour devenir humaine. Sa synthwave rétrofuturiste se fait plus éclectique et dynamique, invoquant metal, disco, funk et mélodies de jeux vidéos avec un génie stupéfiant — une musique universelle !

Comme l'espace, Dynatron est autour de nous, il est partout, disséminant des créations ponctuelles dans une multitude d'anthologies : ces singles se retrouvent dans The Legacy Collection, Vol II. La synthwave rétrofuturiste de science-fiction prend d'autres couleurs. S'intéressant aux planètes et à leurs mouvements, elle se fait plus massive, grondante. Dynatron nous écrase sous le poids de matériaux spatiaux non raffinés, concrétisés par une ambiance plutôt heavy metal. C'est beau et percutant.
