Tylor Mathieu

Tylor Mathieu was named  the women’s assistant diving coach on July 1, 2025.

Mathieu comes to the University of South Carolina after serving as the Women’s Assistant Coach at Washington State for the 2024-25 season. During her time with the Cougars, three Washington State swimmers earned individual invites to the 2025 NCAA Championships. She coached Emily Lundgren, who became Washington State’s first All-American since 2007 following a sixth place finish in the 200 breaststroke (2:06.18) at NCAAs. Additionally, Lundgren secured an All-American Honorable Mention recognition in the 100 breaststroke after she clocked a 58.83 for a 15th place finish.

Prior to Washington State, Mathieu served as the student manager for the University of Florida’s men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams for one year after graduating from the women’s program as a highly decorated student athlete. She wrapped up her swimming career for the Gators as a six-time NCAA All-American and four-time Academic All-American. Mathieu helped lead Florida to an SEC Championship in 2023 after picking up three top 20 finishes in individual events including a fourth place finish in the 500 free (4:39.21). She was also part of the team that saw a ninth place finish at the 2023 NCAA Championships, helping the 800 free relay finish sixth in the country. Mathieu also qualified for the 2020 U.S. Olympic Trials, competing in the 400 free, 800 free and 100 breast.

A native of Hebron, Connecticut, Mathieu graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in psychology, a minor in education as well as a sport management certificate.
