2020 — Foundation

Stanford ML + DeepLearning.AI (Andrew Ng)

Completed the Machine Learning Specialization (Stanford Online) and Deep Learning Specialization (DeepLearning.AI) — both taught by Andrew Ng. 6 courses spanning neural networks, CNNs, sequence models, hyperparameter tuning, and structuring ML projects. 2023 — Origin

Identified the gap

M-PESA had no AI layer. Kenya's 47M Swahili speakers had no coordination tools in their language. First tools built: daraja-ai, shule-ai, basic civic tools. Realized the problem wasn't one app — it was missing infrastructure for a whole continent.

2024 — Infrastructure First

mpesa-mcp ships on PyPI

First MCP server for East Africa. Model Context Protocol was weeks old — mpesa-mcp made M-PESA the first African payment API natively accessible to AI agents. 1,200+ downloads across 14 countries without any marketing.

2025 — Protocol Trifecta

MCP + A2A + Google ADK — all three, first in region

kenya-a2a and kenya-adk implemented within weeks of their global launches. First documented engineer in East Africa to have deployed all three major AI agent protocols. Portfolio crosses 50 repositories. DPGA submissions filed for mpesa-mcp and wapimaji-mcp.

2026 — 23 MCP Servers

Complete coordination infrastructure stack shipped
