    THE PROCESS :

    August 12, 2025

Gen Ken meets with CIII at Taped Rugs Studio in Kansas City, Kansas; preliminary ideas for recording are shared, discussed, debated.

    August 13, 2025

The following recordings were produced at Taped Rugs Studio:

    1)    Raw Rhythms (instrumentals, jointly improvised)    26 minutes
    2)    Washes (instrumentals, individually improvised)    12 minutes
    3)    Gen Ken's "Sound Machine" samples    2 minutes
    4)    Gen Ken Vocal #1, (unaccompanied) 10 minutes
    5)    Gen Ken Vocal #2 (unaccompanied)    3 minutes
    6)    CIII Vocal (unaccompanied, keeping time with Gen Ken Vocal #2)    4.5 minutes
    7)    Preliminary Mix Of Some Above Elements (CIII & Gen Ken)    3.5 minutes

A great deal of discussion/debate influenced the preliminary mix.    This rough edit was the starting point from which CIII later concocted an initial draft of the final result.

    August 15-16

CIII edits together the initial draft, employing edits from all of the above recordings in some manner.    CIII modified some of these edits with plug-in sound effects.    Other edits were cut up and rearranged.    Only materials that were recorded on August 13 were included in the draft.    CIII forwards draft to Gen Ken for suggestions/tweaks.
