lyrics
I like boys in red lipstick
Like their kisses on my neck
Like the stains they leave
On my skin and their cigarettes
I like girls with short hair
Wearing a suit and a tie
Like the look they give me
And their hands on my thigh
I like people who don't fit
In the boxes we've made up
I don't care what's in your underwear
As long as I'm falling in love
Genders a performance
And you’re selling out the show
Ask me what you are
I tell them I don't need to know
Genders a performance
And you’re selling out the show
Ask me what you are I tell them
I don't need to know
Need to know
Need to know
Need to know
I don't know what I like
Until it, it drives me crazy
Oh well, who needs a label
When I can call you baby
I like people who don't fit
In the boxes we've made up
I don't care what's in your underwear
As long as I'm falling in love
Genders a performance
And you’re selling out the show
Ask me what you are
I tell them I don't need to know
Genders a performance
And you’re selling out the show
Ask me what you are I tell them
I don't need to know
Need to know
Need to know
Need to know
Need to know

So. Much. Fun.
I’m sure I’m not the only person to gleefully sing along to these subversively-catchy lyrics, there are some real pearlers in here 😂
Fave track - Wet Leg, but the lyrics in Chaise Longue were what made me lookup your music a few years ago for the laffs: “would you like us to assign someone to worry your mother”
I crack up every time at the longest loudest scream in Ur Mum. theUtmost
The great underlying instrumentation paired with Florence's droll stream of consciousness lyrics make this album stand out. It feels so personal and confessional. Favorite tracks are Strong Feelings and Leafy. I've heard Scratchard Lanyard on alt radio and love that one as well. tofupotpie
Terrific goth-y post-punk from Pittsburgh full of knifepoint guitars, threatening atmospheres, and vocals delivered with a scowl. Bandcamp New & Notable Sep 10, 2022
TV Priest's second record springs forth with a tension, dynamism, and crunch not often found in this brand of broody, shouty post-punk. Bandcamp New & Notable Jun 16, 2022
