How to Identify Poison Ivy
How to identify Poison Ivy
The image below list a variety of ways you can identify poison ivy. Note that the appearance can change at different times in the year and in different locations. Poison Ivy is a robust and very hearty plant that often is present where you might not expect it. Even at times of the year when there are no leaves the “hairy vine” can transfer the oils that many people are allergic to.
We strongly recommend not touching poison ivy at all. If you have to touch it, wear rubber gloves and clothes that cover your body and prevent the poison ivy from touching your skin. Be away that the poison ivy oil will remain on your gloves and clothes if they touched the poison ivy plant. You should take care then removing your gloves and clothes to be sure you don’t get the poison ivy oil from your clothes on your skin.
If you aren’t paying attention and find yourself with signs of contact with poison ivy you might try TecNu to remove/neutralize the poison ivy oil that causes itching, blisters, and other nasty and painful issues.
