You've reached Day 3 in our 2016 Author Trivia Hunt. The last day to play!

How much do you know about your favorite authors?

If you need help with finding the answers to these questions, click on the link and scroll down to their interview.

Put your answers in the comments and we'll enter you into a drawing for a $25 Amazon gift card. Answer as many questions as you can to earn more chances (and don't forget to leave us your email address).

Let's get started!

HEIDI RICE
Avril Tremayne is a mad Heidi Rice fan, so was thrilled to feature her on Get Lost in a Story during the year.

USA Today bestselling author Heidi Rice’s first love was watching movies so, not surprisingly, her first proper job was as a film journalist. But after spending years sneaking off to read romantic fiction when she was being paid to watch some crappy B-movie or other, she decided to try writing a novel of her own.

Her first book was published by Harlequin Mills & Boon in 2007. Since then she’s published a total of 24 novels, novellas and short stories, nabbed three RITA nominations, sold over two millions copies of her books worldwide and never has to watch crappy B-movies now unless she wants to.

She lives in London with her husband and two sons, and lots of other gorgeous men who are entirely in her imagination (unlike the laundry, unfortunately). Connect with Heidi via her website.

What was the name of Heidi's modern Rapunzel-esque romance, which was a 2016 RITA finalist?

NANA PRAH
Lara Lacombe has been blogging friends with Nana for a few years, and she was excited to celebrate Nana's debut novel with Harlequin Kimani earlier this month!

Nana Prah first discovered romance in a book from her eight grade summer reading list and has been obsessed with it ever since. Her fascination with love inspired her to write in her favorite genre where happily-ever-after is the rule.

She is a published author of contemporary, multicultural romances. Her books are sweet with a touch of spice. When she’s not writing she’s, over-indulging in chocolate, enjoying life with friends and family, and tormenting nursing students into being the best nurses the world has ever seen.  Check out Nana's blog!

Nana's latest book is called A Perfect Caress.  What is the hero Dante obsessed with?

JENNIFER BERNARD
Lizbeth Selvig has interview USA Today bestselling author Jennifer Bernard three times on GLIAS. Jennifer is an incredibly popular author of contemporary romance--famous for her firefighter heroes and baseball hotties.

Jennifer is a Harvard grad and former news promo producer who left big city life in L.A. for true love in Alaska where she now lives with her husband and stepdaughters.

Since her first interview on Get Lost in a Story, Jennifer has written multiple series including the Bachelor Firemen of San Gabriel novels, the Love Between the Bases series, several novellas, and her brand new series Jupiter Point--about a crew of ultra hot Hotshot Firefighters!

Check out Jennifer's website and blog for all the details! Let's go back to Jennifer's second interview and find out...

In Jennifer Bernard's Love Between the Bases series, which star a whole lot of very sexy baseball players, what is the name of the minor league team featured in the books?

PINTIP DUNN
Nan Dixon has interviewed Pintip Dunn twice since her first book was released. Her fabulous debut FORGET TOMORROW won the Best First Book RITA in 2016 and also made the New York Times Bestseller list. This is a Young Adult you shouldn't miss. The series is incredible.

So--my question is...

In FORGET TOMORROW, why is Callie arrested and placed in Limbo when she receives her future memory?
Click here to find the answer (and scroll down to her interview).

DARCY WOODS
Nan also interviewed her friend Darcy Woods about her fabulous YA debut SUMMER OF SUPERNOVAS. As always, when talking to Darcy, craziness ensues. We did learn about her main character-Wilamena. (And Darcy also tempted us with some incredible looking cupcakes.

In THE SUMMER OF SUPERNOVAS, what is Wilamena obsessed about and what does she base her search for a relationship on?

Let's get started with today's first author!

HELENKAY DIMON
Over the past six years, Jillian has interviewed author HelenKay Dimon many times for Get Lost in a Story. HelenKay spent the years before becoming a romance author as a...divorce attorney. Not the usual transition, she knows. Good news is she now writes full time and is much happier. She has sold over thirty novels, novellas and shorts to numerous publishers, including HarperCollins, Kensington, Harlequin, Penguin, Samhain and Carina Press. Her nationally bestselling and award-winning books have been showcased in numerous venues and her books have twice been named "Red-Hot Reads" and excerpted in Cosmopolitan magazine.

She is on the Board of Directors of the Romance Writers of America and teaches fiction writing at UC San Diego and MiraCosta College. You can learn more at her website: www.helenkaydimon.com

Trivia question: What is the name of the romantic suspense series that UNDER THE WIRE is a part of?

You can find the answer in her interview. Click here (and scroll down to her interview)

AVERY FLYNN
This past year, Jillian interviewed Award-winning romance author Avery Flynn. Avery has three slightly-wild children, loves a hockey-addicted husband and is desperately hoping someone invents the coffee IV drip. She was a reader before she was a writer and hopes to always be both. She loves to write about smartass alpha heroes who are as good with a quip as they are with their *ahem* other God-given talents. Her heroines are feisty, fierce and fantastic. Brainy and brave, these ladies know how to stand on their own two feet and knock the bad guys off theirs. Also, if you figure out how to send Oreos through the Internet, she’ll be your best friend for life.

Trivia Question: In TROUBLE ON TAP, retired supermodel and wild child Olivia Sweet is back in her home town—broke, homeless and still dealing with the fall out from something her ex-boyfriend did…what did the scumbag do?

You can find the answer in her interview. Click here (and scroll down to her interview).

VIRGINIA TAYLOR
Virginia Taylor is one of Avril Tremayne's top picks for historical romance - in part because Australian historical romances tend to be a bit thin on the ground, so the settings are extra interesting.

Virginia started as an art student, became a nurse/midwife, and then decided to write. While she awaited publication she worked in interior design and theatre set painting/design. Now she paints only when she needs to think about her next story.

Trivia Question: In addition to writing historical romances, Virginia has a new contemporary series inspired by her early arty career!  What is the series called?

ANNIE O'NEIL
Avril Tremayne is a sucker for a good medical romance, so grabbed Annie O'Neil to indulge her own sneaky passion for hot doctors.

Annie spent most of her childhood with a leg draped over the family rocking chair and a book in her hand. Novels, baking and writing too much teenage angst poetry ate up most of her youth. Now, quite a few years on from those fevered daydreams of being a poet, Annie splits her time between corralling her husband (and real life Scottish hero) into helping her with their cows or scratching the backs of their rare breed pigs and spending some very happy hours at her computer writing.

Connect with Annie via her website.

What is Annie's favorite TV medical drama?

You'll find the answer here (scroll down to her interview).

JANE PORTER

Jane is a NYT and USA Today bestselling author of over 50 romances and 11 women's fiction novels and winner of RWA's RITA AWARD with her novella, Take Me, Cowboy. She also founded Tule Publishing in 2013 to give romance and women's fiction authors support and opportunities. Follow on Amazon. But the most important thing to me is that she's a friend.  I fell in love with Jane's story telling. Meeting her in person was a fan-girl moment. Becoming friends with her was awesome!  ~Angi

Jane wants to go somewhere and spend at least three weeks soaking up atmosphere and seeing how the sun rises. Where does she want to go?

You'll find the answer here (scroll down to her interview).

NANCY NAIGLE

Nancy is a USA Today bestselling author  who write small-town love stories with a dash of suspense and a whole lot of heart. Now happily retired from a career in finance, she devotes her time to writing, antiquing, and enjoying the occasional spa day with friends. A Virginia girl at heart, Nancy now calls North Carolina home. Follow on Amazon. You won't just like Nancy's award-winning writing. She has such a big heart that it's easy to understand why the writing is soooo darn good. ~Angi

What kind of heels does Nancy dance in?

You'll find the answer here (scroll down to her interview).

BARBARA WALLACE

Barbara Wallace is the award-winning, best-selling author of 20 novels, including Weekend Agreement and The Courage to Say Yes.  The proud mother of a 22-year-old National Guard Lieutenant, she lives in New England with her husband and their menagerie of rescue cats. Barbara rescues animals which puts her higher on my good people list. It might be cats instead of pups, but it takes a huge heart to take in, care for, fall in love with, and then give away a precious pet to strangers. Her writing is the new-classic series romance that I fell in love with and helped inspire me to be a writer! ~Angi

Barbara writes about royalty in what country?

You'll find the answer here (scroll down to her interview).

Celebrate 2016: Play Author Trivia Hunt (Day 1)

What better way to end the year than to celebrate our 2016 author guests? For a fun way to do this, we've put together a three-day Author Trivia Hunt.

How much do you know about your favorite authors?  If you need help finding the answers, click on the link to their interview.

Put your answers in the comments and we'll enter you into a drawing for a $25 Amazon gift card. Answer as many questions as you can to earn more chances. (Don't forget to leave us your email address.)

Let's get started with our first mystery author!

JILL MARIE LANDIS

E.E. Burke has interviewed this author for Get Lost In A Story several times, and she's always drawn a great response from our readers. No wonder. She's a seven-time Romance Writers of America finalist and winner of a RITA Award, and a New York Times bestselling author.
Jill Marie Landis started out writing historical romance. She now writes humorous mysteries set on the island where she lives with her husband and a spoiled cat. You can visit Jill's world of tiki, hula maidens, and tropical fun at www.thetikigoddess.com.

Her latest book, Hawaii Five Uh-Oh, is the fifth in her Tiki Goddess Mystery series.

What is the name of the island where Jill's mysteries are set?

Click this link to her interview to find the answer. (Scroll down to her interview)

CAROLINE FYFFE

Next up, a USA Today Bestselling author who was born in Waco, Texas, the first of many towns she would call home during her father's career with the US Air Force. A horse aficionado from an early age, Caroline earned a Bachelor of Arts in communications from California State University-Chico before launching what would become a twenty-year career as an equine photographer.

She began writing fiction to pass the time during long days in the show arena, channeling her love of horses and the Old West into a series of Western historical romances. Her debut novel, Where the Wind Blows, won the Romance Writers of America's prestigious Golden Heart Award as well as the Wisconsin RWA's Write Touch Readers' Award. She and her husband have two grown sons and live in the Pacific Northwest.

This year, Caroline introduced us to Texas Lonesome, the 8th book in a highly popular series. What is the name of that series?

MARY JO PUTNEY

Regan Walker interviewed this NY Times bestselling author as a part of the Best of the Regency series of posts. Mary Jo was born in upstate New York with a reading addiction, a condition with no known cure.  Her entire writing career is an accidental byproduct of buying a computer for other purposes.  Most of her books contain history, romance, and cats.  She has had ten RWA RITA nominations, two RITA wins, RWA's 2013 Nora Roberts Lifetime Achievement Award, and she's so distractible that she’s amazed that she ever finishes a book.

What turns off Regency author Mary Jo Putney like nothing else?

Click this link to find her answer! (Scroll down through her interview)

CHERYL BOLEN

Regan also interviewed this NY Times bestselling author as a part of the Best of the Regency series of posts. Cheryl is the author of more than twenty novels, including some great Regencies! She has been in the top five on the New York Times bestselling list and is also a USA Today bestselling author. Her novel One Golden Ring won Best Historical for the Holt Medallion and her novel My Lord Wicked won Best Historical in the International Digital Awards, the same year her Christmas novella was Best Novella. Her books have been translated into a dozen languages.

What is Regency author Cheryl Bolen's favorite movie of all time?

Click this link to find her answer! (Scroll down to her interview)

CALLIE HUTTON

Another of Regan's Regency author interviews... Callie Hutton, USA Today bestselling author of both Western Historical and Regency romances with “historic elements and sensory details” (The Romance Reviews). She lives in Oklahoma with several rescue dogs, two adult children, a daughter-in-law, twin grandsons and her top cheerleader husband (although thankfully not all in the same home!). Living in the Midwest provides plenty of opportunities for Callie to pursue her interests: researching history, meeting readers, spending time with her adorable two year old twin grandsons, and discovering new adventures.

Where would Callie Hutton travel to in the past, if given the chance?
