I got into synthwave for its potential to take everything that was good about the 80s and make it fresh. Out of everything I've heard so far, you out-80s the 80s like no one else. You not only capture the soundscape, but something that's hard to describe. As much as I love the melancholy nostalgia often present in this genre, what really gets me is the sincere, childlike excitement about the future and sheer COOL of the era that's in short supply in today's real life cyberpunk dystopia. toebee

Aquatique starts out and you are like “ok, this seems like a good enough song”. When 1:47 comes along and you hear your first steel drum sounding ping, you are like “oh”. Then by 2:00 you realize you are listening to a gem. vronskyfein42
